Flip Media dominated the Interactive category of the 2nd Dubai Lynx Awards, the leading creative advertising competition for the Middle East and North Africa, bagging 4 of the 15 awards. Flip Media’s work for Emaar’s Burj Dubai garnered a Silver, while their work for Nakheel’s Ramadan campaign, MBC2’s Movies in Motion portal and the experimental website “My City Soul” earned three bronzes, giving Flip the highest tally of any agency in the Middle East.

According to Regional Account Director Yousef Tuqan Tuqan, these awards validate Flip’s approach to their work. “We’re extremely pleased by our recognition in these awards. Flip has always placed a premium on the development of solid creative work that delivers on our client’s business objectives, and it’s great to win creative awards for sites that are commercially focused.”

Flip Media is no stranger to creative awards, having been the first Middle Eastern agency to earn the coveted Macromedia Site of The Day, as well as 35 other awards in the last few years, including four Summit International Awards and a Cannes Cyberlion.

The Hayah Film Competition. presented by Abu Dhabi Women’s College and EmiratesMac Apple User Group has just started accepting Submissions of films for the competition. Films can be submitted in three categories: Student, Professional, and Amateur. Films compete for a cash prize in each category and the chance to attend the final award ceremony of the Middle East International Film Festival at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on October 19. The competing films have to be in an iPod compatible format, and they should be no longer than five minutes long. Films can be uploaded through the web site. We’d like to thank Imthiaz Rafiq, a member of the EmiratesMac Apple User Group for writing the film submission and uploading functionality. My best wishes for the site and I hope it is a big success

It was another exciting evening at Mall of Emirates, Dubai. Flip Media has arranged a wonderful party for all of flippers. It was in Ski Dubai. It was my first skiing experience. We had training session where they taught us how to ski. I was the only one who kept falling down every 5 minutes. I had taken my camera and took some video. It was horrible as I was walking and talking to all people. It took me 3 hours in iMovie to create a good clip out of it. I didn’t take my camera inside so I was not able to shoot inside. My friends has taken some snaps. May be latter I will update this post with some cool picture.

After skiing we went for dinner and we had to cook our food. It was fun . Please see the video and post your comments
