Dear Bloggy
Wow it has been 3 years since I started blogging with imthi.com. I still remember the day creating my first blog at blogger 5 years ago imthiaz.blogspot.com. Hmm time is really running fast.
Yesterday I moved my lazy ass and changed the blog theme. This time I selected iNove and modified few things in the theme so that I loose my previous theme modifications. I use jquery light box for image popups and the theme javascript was creating some issues with menu script. I removed them and it was of no use for me 
. Other than that the theme is kick ass and looks really good with comments and pagination etc.
Next I removed my last stupid meta generator plugin and activated all in one SEO pack plugin. This plugin was much better to the last one I had used and it had more option to control the title and description of each post with custom meta.
Past few months I have not written anything real good on my blog and I really feel bad about it. I will surely update some nice post in the days to come.

Personal blog update
It has been quite sometime since I concentrated on SEO and my blog. Yesterday I was ready a forum where they were chatting about page rank update by Google. Out of curiosity I checked my blog and It got promoted to rank 5. After 2 long year my blog finally got page rank 5.
Organic and white hat seo pays the reward but it takes very long time. I guess it is good and is statble

Today I upgraded my blog to the latest wordpress release. The upgrade was quite simple as usual. This time I made it a point to clear all my plugins and download all the latest ones.
I planning to discontinue my plugin organizer. There is no time to update such a big plugin these days. I will update menu manager and pda plugin this weekend.
I really like the tag feature in the new wordpress. There are few things I feel it is very much needed
- Tag manager
- Bulk post tag updater
- Quick tag update on posts
I already have so many post and I edited few for tag and I felt lazy and stopped. Thanks to wordpress for this wonder update

Today I came across the site www.indomains.net which helps to create Indian based domain names ( .in, .co.in, net.in ). So I immediately wanted to register for imthi.in
I registered and payed using paypal. I got a confirmation mail that payment received and processing the domain.
I parked the domain on the same server of imthi.com and I checked it was live. Everything happened in a duration of five minutes. This is the fasted registration of domain I have ever noticed.
Latter I changed the mx record to Google accounts and got both my domain email work.

Personal blog update
I got a mail from one hosting company that they wanted to place an ad in my linux category page. They are ready to offer me 39$ for it per year. I am wondering if that price is okay to go with or it too cheap. I get better pay from Google adsense.
If anyone feels that it is a good price to go ahead let me know. I am thinking like 100$ to 150$ per year.

Programming blog update
Two weeks back I cleaned up my blog categories. There was too many of them and most of it was hardly having more posts in it. I was expecting a potential drop in my traffic due to search engine. I thought it would be better to do it now than latter. So I went ahead and cleaned it up. As I was expecting there was a good drop in referrals by search engines. When I say search engines my main contributor will be Google. Other ones only scan my website with crawlers and they don’t give me back any visitors which is too bad.
That was a big list. Good to see that most of them visit to my blog on a daily basis. If I compare with referrals given back to only Google is fair enough
I am really glad to see that so many visitors coming to my blog from different search engine sources. One more thing I am happy about is Yahoo is sending some bunch of new visitors recently which is really a good sign. I hope my traffic will conditions will improve
